Monika Weiss-Drawing Lethe, World Financial Center Winter Garden, New York (2006)

Curated by Aimee Good, The Drawing Center, New York, in conjunction with River to River Festival. Drawing Lethe was performed across from Ground Zero in the World Financial Center Winter Garden, where workers were still searching for the remains of the victims of the September 11th attack on World Trade Center. The artist covered the floor of the Winter Garden with large sheets of white muslin creating a landscape of drawing and sound, which was heard from the speakers mounted under the ground level around the trees.
